Sleeping is the job
This is the very first picture that I took when I started photographing the streets and it literally made me fall in love with street photography. When I first took to the streets of Raipur with a camera, I met this elderly man in the Sadar Bazaar road which is famous for jewellery shops and he was serving as a guard for an under-construction building. From where I come from, it usually happens that many people live a nomad's life just like this man. He has no permanent address and he works as a guard for work in progress buildings and in return gets a safe place and food for himself and his family. The entire family helps in the construction process and takes care of the place until the building is finished and then move to a new work in progress building.

Half way through
Another one from that very first day of me photographing the streets. David, one of my photographer friend and I were on a project documenting the streets and it was already mid-day and although it was during the winters but still the sun was not in a good mood that day. So we happened to pass by the Shastri market of Raipur city which is a popular farm produce market and it's among the most busiest streets of the city filled with street vendors and hawkers shouting out loud and the air is filled with mixed aroma of fresh and rotten vegetables and fruits and also the neighbouring meat market. There is a small square in the centre which connects with all the roads leading out of that place and it's surrounded by the rickshaw paddlers. He is one of them and was waiting by his rickshaw for his customers.

Rural Roads
When i am on the road I come across many small villages and rural towns and the villages have a totally different yet interesting vibe to them. This page is dedicated to the different faces that I come across when I am treading around the globe.
Asli Sona
If you are from India this is nothing new for you to see but if you aren't then i must tell you that this is what you will see the most when you travel to offbeat locations in India. India is a country of farmers and a majority of the country's revenue comes from agriculture, and don't be surprised at all because I mean when you are the second most populated country in the world, you will need a lot of food to feed them. These farmers are the lifeline of our country and we owe them a lot for the hardships they face and that's the "Asli Sona" (real gold) that's in his hand all thanks to his months of toil under the raging sun giving his sweat & blood to feed our hunger.
